Jesse Williams posts Instagram from hospital after surgery

Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Jesse Williams announced on Monday that he has cancer and will undergo treatment. 

"Although disappointing, I am a fighter and will handle this," Williams said in a statement, per the Seahawks official website."I am going to focus on my health and fighting this battle with a return to football as my ultimate goal. Thank you for your thoughts and support. Go Hawks!"

On Friday, Williams posted a picture of himself on Instagram post-surgery. 

General Manager John Schneider released a statement through the Seahawks official website as well commenting on the Seahawks' support.

"Jesse is an extraordinarily tough individual who has overcome a great deal in his life, and we will support him in any way possible. He is in our thoughts and prayers," he said.
