So much for those "Tony Romo to the Washington Redskins" trade rumors.

Jerry Jones denied he's had trade talks with any teams, and said he's still open to keeping his beloved backup quarterback, who he believes could lead the Dallas Cowboys to a title.

“Nothing factual in any way,” the Cowboys owner said of the trade rumors on Saturday at the NFL Combine. “Haven’t had that discussion with anyone, most of all Romo.”

Jones, who said he met with Romo before the Super Bowl to discuss his future, rejected the idea that he's trade him to a rival — or that his longtime QB would sign with one.

“It is implied that we will work in the best way we can for the mutual interest of Tony and the Cowboys. That was just implied,” Jones told reporters.

Jones said a decision would come sooner rather than later, which would be in the 36-year-old Romo's best interests.

“He’s considering options,” Jones told reporters. “Obviously, we all know that he’s going to have the opportunity to look at whatever situation, if there are situations, he’s going to have an opportunity to look at it. He gets to say and control this situation every bit as much as we do.”
