Jaguars running out of RBs; Bills banged up, too.

The Jaguars are running out of running backs.

And the Buffalo Bills offense is suddenly banged up, too, following a 34-18 win over Jacksonville on Sunday.

Already down starter Maurice Jones-Drew (left foot) and backup Jalen Parmele (groin), the Jaguars lost running back Rashad Jennings, who sustained a concussion in the second quarter against Buffalo.

Coach Mike Mularkey said Jennings' status is uncertain because the player will have to pass a series of NFL-mandated tests before he can be cleared to play.

That will also be the case for Jaguars leading receiver, Cecil Shorts III, who sustained a concussion in the fourth quarter.

Jennings was hurt at the end of a 12-yard run, when he was tripped up and then had linebacker Nick Barnett land on him. Montell Owens took over for Jennings and finished with seven carries for 29 yards.

Mularkey said it's too early to determine if Jones-Drew is healthy enough to return after he missed his sixth game.

''We still have a few days to look at him, but right now, as we sit, it's Montell and Richard Murphy,'' Mularkey said.

Shorts was hurt after making a 5-yard catch, after which he ducked his head and was hit by rookie cornerback Ron Brooks. Brooks led with his helmet, and was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness.

The Jaguars (2-10) play host to the New York Jets next weekend.

The list of injuries is growing for the Bills (5-7) after they finished the game without three offensive regulars.

Leading receiver Stevie Johnson did not return after hurting his left hamstring in the third quarter. Center Eric Wood hurt his left knee, and right tackle Chris Hairston couldn't finish after hurting his right ankle. Cornerback and return specialist Leodis McKelvin also couldn't finish because of a nagging back injury.

Johnson said he felt his hamstring tighten on the play before he made a 13-yard touchdown catch that put Buffalo ahead 24-10 early in the third quarter. He then pulled himself out of the game to avoid making the injury worse.

''It is tight. That's all it is,'' Johnson said, before adding he expects to play next week when the Bills host St. Louis.

Hairston said he's confident he'll be ready to play next week.

Wood's status is uncertain. He was walking around the locker room with his left knee wrapped.
