Jaguars draft Michigan's Robinson in 5th round
Jacksonville has selected former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson in the fifth round of the NFL draft.
The Jaguars plan to use the 5-foot-10, 199-pound Robinson at running back. They took him with the second pick in the fifth round (No. 135 overall).
It's the first risky pick the Jaguars have made during the three-day draft, the first for new general manager Dave Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley.
But Jacksonville, which has been one of the league's worst offenses the last two years, is looking for playmakers. Robinson started 37 games at Michigan, including 35 at quarterback, and set the NCAA record for career rushing yards (4,495) by a quarterback.
He says ''a lot of people have put me at different positions. Now it's time to go to work.''
