Injury-depleted Redskins add ex-Eagles S Harris

The Washington Redskins have added safety Macho Harris to their injury-depleted secondary.

The Redskins signed Harris, a fifth-round draft pick by Philadelphia from Virginia Tech in 2009. He played in 15 games, including eight starts, as a rookie but was released in September at the end of preseason.

The Redskins are again expected to be without starting safety LaRon Landry for this week's game against Minnesota. Landry is nursing an injury to his left Achilles' tendon.

The Redskins also lost backup safety Anderson Russell for the season when he tore the ACL in his right knee in Sunday's win over Tennessee. Russell has been placed on injured reserve.
