New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski made an appearance at a charity event at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, getting his head shaved as part of the “One Mission” Buzz Off for Kids with Cancer.

The event, where Gronk shaved other people’s heads after getting his buzz cut, raised a reported $1 million and involved more than 1,000 folks going under the clippers.

Gronkowski posted a before and after pic on Twitter showcasing his new ‘do.

The Patriots official Twitter account posted the below video showcasing Gronk’s clean-shaven look.

Gronkowski obviously has cultivated a reputation of a wild and crazy party animal (see examples of his antics here), but he arguably is not given enough credit for his many charitable works, including his efforts with his own Gronk Nation Youth Foundation. The tight end announced in April he would be auctioning off a spot on his party bus to raise funds for his charity.

So, all things considered, the myopic perception that Gronkowski is nothing more than an overgrown frat boy may overlook his many great qualities. In other words, there is much more to the man called Gronk than maybe meets the eye.
