Gronk shares message with fans: I'll be back 'when I'm 100 percent'
The New England Patriots and Rob Gronkowski's family issued a statement on Tuesday giving an update on the tight end's injury status. He's currently listed as "week-to-week" with a bone bruise and knee sprain, and has no timetable to return.
After the team released their statement, Gronkowski shared a video message of his own on Bleacher Report's "Uninterrupted." In it, Gronkowski says he'll return when he's "100 percent," and will be "going hard in the rehab."
Gronk didn't provide much new information on his injury, aside from the fact that he won't return before he's completely healthy. Of course he'll work hard in rehab to get back as soon as he can, but it doesn't sound like he or the Patriots are willing to take the risk of re-injury with New England on the inside track for a playoff berth.
