Green Bay Packers S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix 'light years ahead' of last year

With a firmer understanding of the defensive scheme, Green Bay Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is primed for improvement as a second-year pro. Clinton-Dix recently told Ryan Wood of Press-Gazette Media about how different this year already feels compared to his rookie season.
"Things have slowed down for me a lot," Clinton-Dix said, per Press-Gazette Media. "I feel a lot more comfortable back there with Morgan (Burnett), most definitely."
Safeties coach Darren Perry sees the difference, too. Perry says Clinton-Dix is "light years ahead" of where he was last year, according to Press-Gazette Media, and is excited about the young safety's future in the NFL.
"He's got all the tools, and he could certainly be a tremendous player," Perry told Press-Gazette Media. "We think he will be. I know he wants to be. We all want him to be. We need him to be in order to get to where we want to get to go."
Clinton-Dix, a first-round pick out of Alabama in the 2014 NFL draft (21st overall), played all 16 games as a rookie and started 10 of them. He must become a more consistent player in Year 2, after a season marked by a handful highs and lows.
