Glazer: Jets advisor called Rex Ryan's agent to fill Rex's job

That wouldn't be a problem, if Ryan wasn't the team's head coach anymore. However, he still is, at least until Monday. If this story came from any other organization, it might be surprising.
Ryan is widely expected to be fired after Sunday's final regular-season game. The team's 3-12 record is by far the worst the team has had in his tenure, and Ryan was reportedly seen cleaning out his desk this week.
