Giants OT Shawn Andrews inactive for Jaguars game

Published Nov. 28, 2010 11:55 a.m. ET

Offensive tackle Shawn Andrews is not on the New York Giants' active roster for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Andrews, who has been bothered by a sore back in recent weeks, spent two day in a hospital this past week because of back pain. Will Beatty will start at left tackle.

Return man Will Blackmon (chest) also was inactive along with offensive linemen Shaun O'Hara and David Diehl, receivers Steve Smith, Hakeem Nicks and Devin Thomas and linebacker Phillip Dillard.

Jaguars left tackle Eugene Monroe was inactive with an apparent concussion and was replaced at left tackle by Guy Whimper, who was cut by New York at the end of training camp.
