Former Oregon QB Adams Jr. says that he can run Kelly's 49ers offense

Are the San Francisco 49ers going to turn into the Philadelphia Eagles, in that new head coach Chip Kelly will just target talent from the Oregon Ducks?

If San Francisco selects former Ducks quarterback Vernon Adams, Jr. in the upcoming NFL Draft, then that'd certainly be indication of such. But as many have speculated in the past few weeks, perhaps that wouldn't be the worst decision for the 49ers. And according to Adams, it'd be the smart move. Watch the video by clicking here.

"Oh, yeah, definitely. I watched him in Philly last year and pretty much eighty percent, ninety percent of the plays I would see see I could call out that we run at Oregon.

So I think I could really come in and run that offense, too."

Kelly obviously loves developing Oregon talent in the NFL. He had over dozens of former Oregon stars on the roster when he coached the Eagles.

"If you're Chip Kelly," said NFL Media draft expert Mike Mayock during the NFL Network broadcast of the East-West game. "Then you're taking a look at Vernon Adams and seeing what he can do."

Those who watched Adams play last season at Oregon know exactly what he can do: Adams threw 26 touchdowns and just six interceptions during 10 games last season. He recorded 2,643 yards with 64.9% accuracy. He averaged 10.2 yards per attempt. Adams also added 147 rushing yards with two rushing touchdowns.

The biggest knock on Adams: he measured in at 5-foot-10 earlier this week as part of the NFL combine. Many have compared the former Oregon star to Seattle's Russell Wilson, who stands at 5-foot-11. But the average height of an NFL quarterback is 6-foot-3 (via ThePostGame.com).

Unfortunately for Adams, who's half an inch shorter than Wilson, there's another knock on the Pac-12 standout. The Seahawks quarterback has significantly larger hands, which is considered to be incredibly important to scouts.

Kelly's 49ers almost definitely won't use their first round pick on Adams. In later rounds, however, it'd hardly be a surprise to see Adams on his way to San Francisco.
