Former Chicago Bears LB Brian Urlacher opens up about new children's book
Former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher was known for his toughness on the football field, which makes it slightly surprising that he's coming out with a children's book titled "The Middle School Rules of Brian Urlacher," co-written by former Bears beat writer Sean Jensen.
In the book, Urlacher details growing up in New Mexico with his ultra-competitive brother. It's a deviation from the norm for Urlacher, who always made an effort to skirt the spotlight during his NFL career, Jensen told Rich King of WGN.
Watch Urlacher and Jensen discuss the book in the video below.
Urlacher played all 13 of his NFL seasons with the Chicago Bears (2000-2012). He was named to eight Pro Bowls and recorded over 1,000 tackles, 40 sacks and 20 interceptions.
