Heading into Week 6 Fantasy Football, make sure to sit these top 10 players that will truly waste a spot in your lineups.

Week after week I have to remind myself it’s fantasy football. I find myself yelling at the T.V. in excitement and in despair at times.
It’s now Week 6 and I am sure you feel the pain; the struggle is real! Elite players haven’t been so elite and players we never expected to show up have over compensated this season.
With the competition getting more intense every week, your weekly starting fantasy football lineup must be flawless. And, this week’s matchups offer results that could work against your team.
I have identified 10 players that you should rethink before starting. So, before finalizing your squad, check out these players to sit in Week 6.

10. Rashad Jennings, RB, New York Giants
Rashad Jennings has missed the last three weeks due to a thumb injury. Although he did practice, it was limited and his Week 6 return is still questionable.
It has been speculated that Jennings will suit up, but I don’t suggest putting him in your starting lineup. Honestly speaking, I don’t suggest putting Orleans Darkwa in either.
When a team falls behind, they focus on a passing game which has been the case with the New York Giants. The Giants take on the Baltimore Ravens this week, which should send owners a red flag.
The Ravens have a tough run defense that has been limiting running backs all season. Play it safe and sit Jennings this week.
Oct 9, 2016; Green Bay, WI, USA; Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb (18) rushes with the football around New York Giants
9. Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers
Luckily for fantasy owners, Randall Cobb wasn’t hit until the end of last week’s game. However, he is still listed questionable and didn’t practice a few days despite being cleared from the concussion protocol.
Last week, Cobb had an incredible performance. He completed 9-of-11 targets for a little over 100 yards against the Giants.
This week, the Green Bay Packers take on the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys recently held Odell Beckham Jr. to 14 fantasy points, A.J. Green to 10, and Alshon Jeffery to 13.
If you’re looking to score big in Week 6, Cobb is not the way to go. Sit Cobb in this difficult Week 6 game.

8. Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins
It breaks my heart to add Kirk Cousins to this week’s sit ‘em list; I swear I’m his only fan! Every year I say draft Cousins as your QB2 and when nobody listens, he balls out!
Cousins has had a good fantasy football season despite last week’s mishap. Unfortunately, this week’s matchup might offer Cousins another fantasy football bust.
Cousins takes on the Philadelphia Eagles. On average, the Eagles have helped opposing quarterbacks to 193 yards per game; that’s not what owners want to hear.
Give Cousins a break this week. Don’t rely on him to score big at all.

7. Dwayne Allen, TE, Indianapolis Colts
Dwayne Allen has been a fantasy football upset this season. Just when owners thought it was over, he came back in Week 5 with a touchdown.
For the first time since Week 1, Allen earned owners double-digit points. Aside from his touchdown, he completed six of his targets for 50 yards.
Unfortunately, this week’s matchup against the Houston Texans won’t keep his momentum going. The Texans have allowed the second-fewest fantasy football points per game this season.
Not to mention Allen is behind T.Y. Hilton for targets and is sharing time with Jack Doyle. This is not the week to start Allen.

6. DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins
If you follow me on a weekly basis, you would know I have given up all hope on Ryan Tannehill; I’m sure you can all agree. So, if you can’t trust a quarterback, you definitely can’t rely on his receivers.
By default, DeVante Parker is a must sit until his quarterback can get it together or become a bit more consistent. One week, Parker earns over 30 fantasy football points and then another week he earns four.
Inconsistencies like that are not the way to go at this point of the season. No, don’t drop him, just keep him as a week to week player. But, not in Week 6!
Parker takes on the Pittsburgh Steelers this week. Did you see what they did to the New York Jets? Parker is a definite sit in Week 6.

5. Jamaal Charles, RB Kansas City Chiefs
Fantasy football owners have been waiting all season for Jamaal Charles to return for the season. This is the week we could see Charles emerge, however, I am not too confident it’s the week to start him in your league.
On one hand, he’s been preparing for this return for several weeks now. On the other hand, being used as a team’s workhorse after an injury is a bit alarming.
This week, Charles takes on the Oakland Raiders. Last week, the Raiders held Melvin Gordon to 69 yards, zero touchdowns.
Charles is also going to share snaps with Spencer Ware and possibly Charcandrick West in this Week 6 matchup. I would hold off on starting Charles at least one more week to test out the waters.

4. Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, New York Jets
I am absolutely disgusted with Ryan Fitzpatrick’s performance this season. There’s no surprise he’s owned in less than 35 percent of fantasy football leagues.
In the beginning of the season, it looked like Fitzpatrick could be a decent QB2 in fantasy leagues but, as the season continued he consistently got worse.
Luckily last week he didn’t throw any interceptions but, his Week 6 matchup isn’t going to make things any easier for him or the Jets.
The Jets take on the Arizona Cardinals who have the most picks in the league. Even if you don’t have any other option, sit Fitzpatrick; you can always draft Colin Kaepernick!

3. Michael Thomas, WR, New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints usually have great games when they have the home field advantage. However, this week, Michael Thomas has a few things going against him.
Week 6 brings back a fully healthy, unlimited Willie Snead. The Saints also have multiple receivers, so you can never trust who will be the most targeted player even after a week where Thomas was the leader.
The Saints are also preparing to take on the Carolina Panthers. Now, the Panthers this season are definitely not the Super Bowl contenders we remember but, after failing miserably against Matt Ryan and Julio Jones, expect the Panthers to come back for vengeance.
With Thomas sharing targets with Snead, and possibly Brandon Coleman, you can’t trust Thomas will get the job done. This week, Thomas is touchdown dependent and should stay on your bench.
2. DeSean Jackson, WR, Washington Redskins
DeSean Jackson hasn’t been the most reliable fantasy football receiver this season. Within the last five weeks, Jackson hasn’t placed in the top 50 to the position three times.
On average, Jackson hasn’t seen more than six targets per game, and he’s only averaging about 15 yards per reception. So far this season, he’s only earned double-digit fantasy football points twice.
This week he takes on the Philadelphia Eagles whose defense ranks sixth. Not to mention, the Eagles have only allowed two wide receivers to complete more than 70 yards per game.
Expect this week’s matchup to be another low-scoring fantasy week. Jackson is a must sit in Week 6.
Oct 2, 2016; London, ENG; Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns (88) runs the ball for a touchdown during the fourth quarter of the game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Indianapolis Colts at Wembley Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Steve Flynn-USA TODAY Sports
1. Allen Hurns, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Allen Hurns hasn’t been as impactful as fantasy owners hoped this season. Week 4 offered Hurns his best fantasy football week bringing in over 18 points.
However, up until then, he was struggling to earn double-digits. In Week 3, he barely brought home 7 points.
Now, it’s Week 6 and Hurns is coming off a bye. Usually, a bye week can either work for or against players, and I just can’t commit to starting Hurns this week against the Chicago Bears.
Hurns is a touchdown-dependent player and with his inconsistent tendencies, it’s not a guaranteed matchup. Hurns deserves a spot on the bench this week.
