Eagles sign LeGarrette Blount to one-year deal

Free agent running back LeGarrette Blount agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles, the team announced Wednesday.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, Blount will get a deal worth up to $2.8 million and had offers from the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants before signing with the Eagles.

Blount, 31, played the last two seasons with the New England Patriots.

In 2016, he rushed for 1,161 yards and led the NFL in rushing touchdowns with 18.

In eight NFL seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Patriots, Blount has 5,122 rushing yards and 49 touchdowns.
