Rob Gronkowski was among the New England Patriots players who attended an employee picnic at Boston’s Mass General Hospital.

Not surprisingly, the event featured some hospital-inspired activities and games, and one of those was a life-sized version of the classic game “Operation.”

The Patriots’ Twitter account posted video of both Chris Jones and Gronkowski trying their respective hands at the over-sized childhood game. Here is Gronk giving it his best effort:

Dr. Rob Gronkowski? Now that’s a frightening thought. Or an exquisitely epic one.

It must be nice for the Patriots to have someone as gregarious and fun-loving as Gronkowski on the team. He seems to have the ability at every turn to provide some much-needed levity to the goings-on with the organization. And with Tom Brady embroiled in the serious business of the appeal of his four-game suspension, being able to watch the free-spirited Gronk play “Operation” surely is a tonic for what ails the Patriots and their fans.
