Dolphins guard Colledge ruled out against Detroit

Published Nov. 8, 2014 8:57 p.m. ET

Miami Dolphins starting guard Daryn Colledge has been ruled out of Sunday's game at Detroit because of a lingering back injury.

Colledge missed a game for the first time in his nine-year career last week. He returned to practice Tuesday, but his back worsened during the week, and the Dolphins ruled him out Saturday.

Dallas Thomas is expected to start in place of Colledge for the Dolphins, who seek their fourth consecutive win.
