Dolphins beat the Jets with a late 96-yard kick return TD
The New York Jets suffered another crushing defeat Sunday, this time at the hands of Miami Dolphins kick returner Kenyan Drake.
Trailing by four points in the fourth quarter, the Jets took advantage of a Dolphins fumble deep in their own territory on a fourth-down punt attempt and took over at the Miami 18-yard line. Jalin Marshall caught his first career touchdown on Ryan Fitzpatrick's first TD throw of the game to give the Jets a three-point lead.
It didn't last long. New York kicker Nick Folk had to re-take his kickoff after an offside penalty nullified the play, giving the Dolphins another chance after a 22-yard return on the first kick. Drake received Folk's second kick at the 4-yard line and zoomed past two diving tacklers to make it to the sideline and streak into the endzone.
The Jets were forced to punt on their next series and rely on the defense, but running back Jay Ajayi rushed for 44 yards over the Dolphins' final drive and burned down the clock to secure the win.
