Derek Carr back to throwing during brief session at Raiders OTAs

Derek Carr is one step closer to returning from a finger injury that cost him practice time this spring.
The second-year Raiders quarterback tossed a few short passes -- including a wobbly flare route to a running back -- during team drills on Tuesday, according to the Contra Costa Times.
Head coach Jack Del Rio reiterated that his staff is simply being cautious with their young passer.
"We'll do what we can, when we can, and he's doing well right now,'' Del Rio said.
Raider Nation held its collective breath when the initial reports on Carr's injury were released last month. Since then, the team has downplayed its seriousness and all indications are that Carr will be ready for training camp and the preseason.
Carr's status for mandatory minicamp from June 9-11 remains up in the air.
