Davis, Hull among Rams' cuts

Austin Davis, who competed with Kellen Clemens for the backup quarterback job in St. Louis, is among 22 players cut by the Rams to reach the 53-man roster limit.

Linebacker Josh Hull, who made one start in 2012, also was let go on Saturday.

The Rams waived wide receiver Emory Blake, defensive end Mason Brodine, linebacker-defensive end Sammy Brown, safety Cody Davis, defensive tackle Garrett Goebel, safety Rashard Hall, offensive tackle Sean Hooey, wide receiver Nick Johnson, tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen, cornerback Andre Martin, tight end Zach Potter, fullback Eric Stevens, cornerback Drew Thomas, wide receiver Justin Veltung, offensive tackle D.J. Young, defensive end R.J. Washington and cornerback Darren Woodard.

Offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe was waived/injured and the Rams placed linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar and running back Isaiah Pead on reserve-suspended. The team reached an injury settlement with offensive lineman Ryan Lee, who was recently waived/injured.
