David Lee agrees to take over as Bills QB coach
David Lee has agreed to join the Buffalo Bills as the team's quarterbacks coach.
Lee has 37 years of coaching experience and spent last season as Mississippi's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He's spent seven seasons in the NFL, including a three-year stint, from 2008-10, as the Miami Dolphins quarterbacks coach.
He takes over for George Cortez, who left Buffalo last week, after being hired as the CFL Hamilton Tiger-Cats head coach.
Lee is familiar with Bills backup quarterback Tyler Thigpen, whom he coached with the Dolphins. He's also familiar with the wildcat offense, which Bills coach Chan Gailey has attempted to incorporate into his attack over the past two seasons.
Lee attended Vanderbilt, where he played quarterback from 1972-74.
