Cowboys deny hosting crashing couple

Published Feb. 8, 2011 12:00 a.m. ET

The Dallas Cowboys are saying that Michaele and Tareq Salahi, the notorious party-crashing Washington couple, did not sneak into Jerry Jones' owner's suite during the Super Bowl at Cowboys Stadium.

Cowboys spokesman Brett Daniels tells The Associated Press that the Salahis had tickets to seats near the owner's suite, know members of the Jones family and stopped by briefly to exchange greetings.

RadarOnline.com reported that the Salahis claim to have been invited to watch the game in Jones' suite, but were removed by security.

When asked if security escorted them from the suite, Daniels said, ''They left on their own.''
