The Indianapolis Colts have acquired third-year defensive back Justin Tryon, sending an undisclosed draft pick to the Washington Redskins to bolster an injury-hit secondary.

The teams announced the deal Saturday, when the Colts still had to trim their roster to 53 by the league's afternoon deadline.

Indianapolis has had six defensive backs go on season-ending injured reserve.

Tryon was the Redskins' fourth-round pick in 2008 out of Arizona State. He has played in 29 career games, making one start, and had 27 tackles and one interception in 2009.
