Charles Woodson's blunt take on Raiders after loss to Texans: 'We suck'

Charles Woodson is what some might call a "straight shooter."

Woodson's Oakland Raiders looked absolutely dismal for the second consecutive week, being shut out for three quarters en route to a 30-14 loss to the Houston Texans.

After the game, the veteran cornerback was asked what he thought of his football team. His response was about as blunt as it gets.

"We're not very good," Woodson said, via the San Francisco Chronicle's Vic Tafur. " ... We suck. I am embarrassed."

Very well then.

Woodson isn't wrong, as Sunday's loss, coupled with their Week 1 defeat against the New York Jets, drops the Raiders to 0-2. Oakland has scored in just three of eight quarters through two games, while its defense has allowed opponents to score in all eight quarters.

It doesn't get any easier for the Raiders, who will travel to Foxboro next Sunday to face the New England Patriots in their home opener. If Woodson's observation holds true, it could be a long day for the Silver and Black.
