Chargers lose young defensive contributor in first padded practice

San Diego's defensive line depth took a quick hit on Saturday.

Defensive end Tenny Palepoi exited practice on a cart after suffering a broken foot, according to U-T San Diego. He's expected to miss two months.

Palepoi stuck with the Bolts as an undrafted rookie free agent last season. He appeared in every game and notched 16 tackles.

The Chargers might choose to wait before placing Palepoi on injured reserve. Another team could claim the young Utah product before he clears waivers.
