Chargers likely to look for offense on last day of draft
COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) The Los Angeles Chargers probably are ready to start looking for offense in the NFL draft.
The Chargers used their first three picks on defensive players over the first two days. They still have several potential needs on offense, even though nearly every significant piece of last season's powerful offense is returning.
The Bolts could use a skill-position player who can return kicks Saturday. They also need depth on the offensive line, particularly at right tackle, where they were expected to find a potential backup this weekend.
Los Angeles chose Florida State safety Derwin James in the first round. The Bolts added Southern California linebacker Uchenna Nwosu in the second round and North Carolina State defensive tackle Justin Jones in the third.
