Browns QB Campbell has bruised ribs

Published Nov. 4, 2013 12:00 a.m. ET

Starting quarterback Jason Campbell only has bruised ribs, a relief to the Browns, who snapped an 11-game losing streak to Baltimore on Sunday.

Despite getting hurt in the first quarter, Campbell threw three touchdown passes as the Browns beat the Ravens 24-18. Browns coach Rob Chudzinski said X-rays taken after the game on Campbell were negative and there's a chance the nine-year veteran will practice Tuesday.

The Browns have a bye next Sunday, giving Campbell extra time to get healthy.

Campbell has thrown five TD passes without an interception in two starts since replacing Brandon Weeden. On Sunday, Campbell completed 23 of 35 passes for 262 yards.

Also, Chudzinski said wide receiver Greg Little sprained his right shoulder in the win. Little had seven catches for 122 yards and was twice penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct.
