Browns open preseason at home with Redskins

CLEVELAND (AP) The Browns will open their 2015 preseason at home against Washington before hosting Buffalo in a nationally televised game.

While the date for the game against Redskins hasn't been finalized, Cleveland will play Buffalo on Aug. 20, a matchup between Browns coach Mike Pettine and his former boss, Rex Ryan, who was hired by the Bills this winter. Pettine worked on Ryan's staff for four years with the New York Jets.

The Browns will then play two exhibition games on the road: at Tampa Bay Aug. (27-30) and Chicago (Sept. 3-4).

Pettine said last month that the Browns and Bills plan to hold joint practices at Buffalo's training camp at St. John Fisher College outside Rochester, New York, in July. Those dates have yet to be confirmed.

The Browns said specific dates and times for all exhibitions will be announced in the near future.
