Browns' McCoy injures knee, returns

Published Dec. 4, 2011 9:50 p.m. ET

Browns quarterback Colt McCoy has returned to Sunday's game after missing one play with a knee injury.

McCoy was hit by Baltimore's Arthur Jones after throwing a short pass in the first quarter. McCoy tried to walk off the injury, but dropped to the field as trainers came out to check on him. He limped off and was replaced by Seneca Wallace, who completed one pass for 4 yards while McCoy was being treated.

However, McCoy came back for Cleveland's next possession after the Ravens jumped to a 7-0 lead.

The Browns want to use the last five games to evaluate McCoy and decide if he's their future quarterback. He has passed for 2,348 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.
