Browns' Mack named to Pro Bowl

Published Jan. 24, 2011 2:26 p.m. ET

Browns center Alex Mack is going to the Pro Bowl as a replacement for Nick Mangold, injured in the New York Jets' AFC championship game loss.

Mack had a solid second pro season. In Hawaii, he'll join Cleveland left tackle Joe Thomas, who was named to his fourth straight AFC team. Mack has not missed an offensive snap since joining the Browns, who selected him with the No. 21 overall pick in 2009.

Mack is the first Browns center to make the Pro Bowl since Tom DeLeone in 1981. The Browns haven't had two offensive linemen in the Pro Bowl since '81 when DeLeone, Hall of Fame guard Joe DeLamielleure and tackle Doug Dieken represented them.
