Brian Dixon now set to go on trial during team's training camp

When Brian Dixon was arrested back on March 29 for resisting arrest, some expected his court date would come far before the season was close to kicking off. According to Evan Woodbery of NOLA.com though, there was another continuance issued on Monday.
"The continuance issued on Monday by Miami-Dade Criminal Court was the second trial delay in his case." Woodbery explained.
As Woodbery said, this is now the second trial delay, but the new date is set for August 3. It wouldn't be a big deal, except for the fact that the Saints will be in training camp at that time, meaning that Dixon will be missing at least one or two days, at the very least.
This is definitely a story to monitor as we get closer to the season, but we'll be sure to keep you updated as the news comes out about Dixon's trial.
