Brett Favre 'impressed' with Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater

Brett Favre spent many of his 20 seasons in the NFL sparring with the Minnesota Vikings. However, for his final two seasons (2009-2010), Favre joined the Vikings and played some of the finest football of his illustrious career.
The legendary quarterback still keeps up with the Vikings, and the new guy they got playing under center has caught his eye, according to Sid Hartman of the Star-Tribune.
"I think [Bridgewater] had a really good year, for a rookie, I thought he had a really good year," Favre said about Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater, according to the Star-Tribune. "I thought he played exceptional in college [at Louisville]. I had a chance to meet him here at Winter Park a couple of days ago. I was very impressed with him. I’m impressed with his skills and the way he handled himself his first year. So I look forward to bigger and better things from him."
A solid rookie season is a good launching point, but Favre told the Star-Tribune that Bridgewater's biggest challenge moving forward will be to rally his teammates and gain their support. After all, presenting oneself as the team's leader is difficult when sharing a backfield with one of the game's greatest in running back Adrian Peterson.
Just last month, Bridgewater said he would like to be compared to Favre, so the words of encouragement from his idol must have meant a lot.
