Blizzard makes Bears late arrival in Baltimore

The storm that dumped up to 20 inches of snow in the Baltimore area
Saturday played havoc with the Bears' travel for their game against
the Ravens Sunday. The team ended up arriving about 17 hours before
kickoff.
The Bears' flight to Baltimore Friday night was
canceled by the poor weather, and the storm kept the team from
arriving in Maryland until about 10:50 p.m. Saturday,
The Baltimore Sun reported.
The Bears' charter at O'Hare International Airport sat on the
runway for about two hours before the flight was canceled because
of the storm, the
Chicago Tribune reported Saturday.
The opening kickoff was already pushed back to 4:15 p.m. ET
Sunday after city officials consulted with the NFL.
The Bears hoped they had taken the proper precautions by
moving up their scheduled departure to Friday rather than Saturday
afternoon.
