Bengals Vs Dolphins: A.J. Green is the Star At Half

The Cincinnati Bengals are taking on the Miami Dolphins at Paul Brown Stadium and A.J. Green has been the star. However, they struggle to finish three of four scoring drives.

Andy Dalton and A.J. Green has been the star of the first half against the Miami Dolphins. In fact the Dolphins don’t have answers through one half for the duo.

A.J. Green has 123 yards on eight receptions and a touchdown. Andy Dalton has 197 yards on 16 completions and a touchdown to Green. The longest play which set up the touchdown was between the pair for 51 yards and then a seven yard touchdown completion to cap off a 90-yard drive.

Jeremy Hill has not gotten much going early on. He had 30 yards on 11 carries. Giovani Bernard has six carries for 13 yards. The Miami Dolphins have shut down the run.

The Bengals secondary struggled on the Dolphins first drive as they came out in a four receiver set. The 71 yard touchdown reception to Kenny Stills came on a breakdown by George Iloka when he broke off coverage to the inside. Since then, Shawn Williams and Josh Shaw have stepped up big.

The run defense has had its moments where they have been able to stop the run, but some big gains have kept drives going and the Dolphins defense on the sideline. They have also struggled against short passes at times letting Ryan Tannehill pick up yards and letting receivers make plays with their feet.

The Bengals will be looking for more of the same in the second half. If they can continue the momentum and build on their 16-7 lead, they should have little issue getting a win tonight.
