Bengals' McCarron, Fisher back at practice; Dennard sidelined

Published Aug. 17, 2015 5:47 p.m. ET

Bengals backup quarterback A.J. McCarron and offensive tackle Jake Fisher were back at practice Monday. Both missed Friday's preseason-opening win over the Giants with undisclosed injuries.

McCarron, in his second season with the Bengals, was back in full pads, but still watched as Josh Johnson took his reps in 11-on-11 drills. McCarron has yet to see any game action in his brief NFL career. He missed all of the preseason last year with a shoulder injury and did not play in the regular season.

Cornerback Darqueze Dennard, who left Friday's game with a groin injury, worked out on the rehab field along with other injured players, including Vontez Burfict and first-round pick Cedric Ogbuehi.
