Bengals' Lewis not saying a word about Dalton's thumb

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said Monday that AJ McCarron will start off the week preparing to start in Saturday's Wild Card showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The big question is whether he'll finish the week.
Lewis refused to speak about Dalton's status on the same day that Dalton was scheduled to get his broken right thumb examined. According to Joe Danneman of FOX 19 Cincinnati, Lewis took all of six seconds to answer a pair of questions about Dalton's ability to play Saturday.
Lewis, who is 0-6 in the postseason with the Bengals, will be looking to exorcise the team's playoff demons. It may have to be with a quarterback who has just three NFL starts to his name.
