Belichick penalizes his coaches at practice

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is known to sweat the smallest of details which is what has made him arguably the greatest coach in NFL history. During the team's second minicamp practice, Belichick was so angry with his offense that he made everyone take a lap, including the coaches!

What made Belichick give the entire offense a penalty lap? Apparently the offense had a breakdown in communication when trying to get the right offensive package on the field.

"It was a miscommunication and you have to move fast because that's our offense -- fast-paced," said wide receiver Brian Tyms. "You're trying to pick up the pace so the defense can't see what we're doing. We didn't move fast enough and we have to be able to communicate in even the harshest of situations; when everybody is dead-tired and has nothing left, you still have to be able to communicate with each other and execute."

It isn't surprising to hear that he sent his players on a lap. However, sending his assistant coaches on the same lap is something new. Maybe that is what makes the Patriots one of the best teams in the NFL.
