Bears' Wright shaken up on head-on hit

Published Sep. 18, 2011 4:44 p.m. ET

Chicago free safety Major Wright has been shaken up after a hard head-on collision with tight end Jimmy Graham in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Saints.

Wright initially lay face-down and motionless after the hit, but after a couple minutes was able to rise to his feet and walk to the sideline on his own.

It was not immediately clear if he would be able to return to the game. The Bears already were without fellow starting safety Chris Harris when the game began.

In the meantime, former LSU standout and New Orleans native Craig Steltz has taken over at Wright's spot.
