This is not at all a sight Falcons fans want to see. The birds could be without of their most important offensive players on Sunday with Julio Jones and Jake Matthews on the fringe.

Jones did do some light work during Friday’s practice. Dan Quinn is confident in Jones’ availability, but reports indicate he will be a “decoy-at-best” if he does suit up. There is good news in that Jake Matthews experienced no issues as a full participant in Friday’s practice.

With Mohamed Sanu sidelined, Atlanta will employ their receiving corps depth in Taylor Gabriel, Aldrick Robinson, and Justin Hardy.

    Los Angeles Rams:

Whether or not defensive end Robert Quinn is cleared from his concussion remains the hot topic. If he plays, Quinn has a chance to devastate Tom Compton on the left side.

Starting cornerback EJ Gaines is listed as questionable despite not practicing all week. As in Julio Jones’ case, the thought is Gaines won’t be near 100% if he does play.

L.A. looks to have all their offensive starters ready to go this week. Jared Goff is over whatever illness he came down with and Tavon Austin seems poised to finally get back onto the field.

Sitting at 7-5, and with Tampa Bay hot on their trails, this game is a must-win for the Atlanta Falcons. The 4-8 Rams, meanwhile, are playing for nothing but pride at this point.
