Arizona to be without 2 starters against St. Louis

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Cardinals will be without safety Tyrann Mathieu and right guard Paul Fanaika against the St. Louis Rams on Thursday night, but cornerback Antonio Cromartie will likely play.

Mathieu had surgery after breaking his thumb against Atlanta on Nov. 30 and might be out for next week's game against Seattle as well.

Fanaika missed last week's game against Kansas City after spraining his ankle the week before.

The Cardinals originally thought Cromartie had torn his left Achilles tendon against the Chiefs, but tests revealed a sprain.
