Andre Johnson says the Texans 'suck' and fans 'should boo'
How do you know when a season has bottomed out? When you lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Guess what happened to the Texans on Sunday?
Yep, the Texans lost 13-6 and now share identical 2-9 records with Jacksonville. The Jags actually own the "tiebreaker," so that makes Houston the de facto worst team in the NFL. It's tough to say anything different as Houston's losing streak now stands at nine.
Veteran wide receiver Andre Johnson put it much better:
"We suck," Johnson said to ESPN's Tania Ganguli. "As an offense. That's pretty much it."
And while running back Ben Tate ripped Texans fans last week, Johnson is squarely in their corner:
"They were booing us last week. They booed us before. I said it before, if we're not putting good stuff on the field, we ain't giving them nothing to cheer about. They booed. They should boo."
Duly noted. So, Andre .. are the Texans the worst team in the NFL?
"I think our record shows it. Yeah, if you look at our record, yeah, we're the worst team."
There you go.
