Anderson, Hayes inactive for Cards against Denver

Published Dec. 12, 2010 4:47 p.m. ET

Arizona quarterback Derek Anderson and inside linebacker Gerald Hayes were inactive for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

Anderson did not practice all week because of a concussion sustained in last week's 19-6 loss to St. Louis. However, coach Ken Whisenhunt was hopeful he could be the emergency third quarterback but that was not the case.

Hayes was a healthy scratch and was replaced by rookie Daryl Washington in the starting lineup.

Denver kicker Matt Prater was inactive after hurting his groin in practice on Thursday. Steven Hauschka was signed to replace him.
