49ers Week 3 Injury Report: Anthony Davis Out versus Seahawks

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

The San Francisco 49ers have a fairly lengthy injury report heading into their Week 3 road contest against the Seattle Seahawks. But only tackle Anthony Davis is listed as out for this matchup. Most players fully practiced Friday.

The San Francisco 49ers should have a relatively clean bill of health heading into their Week 3 game on the road against the Seattle Seahawks.

San Francisco’s only player who won’t be able to go on Sunday is right tackle Anthony Davis, who suffered a concussion in practice prior to the Niners’ Week 2 matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

Davis, per the team’s official injury report, didn’t practice all week. He was able to perform non-football related activities though as he goes through the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Safeties Marcus Cromartie (ankle) and Jaquiski Tartt (knee) were limited in practice all week. Their status for the game is questionable. Should the Niners suffer an injury to starting safeties Eric Reid or Antoine Bethea, it’s likely defensive back Jimmie Ward would slide into safety from cornerback.

Defensive tackles Arik Armstead (shoulder), Quinton Dial (knee), Glenn Dorsey (knee) and Mike Purcell are all listed on the report. Yet all managed to fully practice Friday. So did linebacker Nick Bellore (knee), cornerback Keith Reaser (ankle) and offensive guard Andrew Tiller (ankle).

San Francisco’s defensive line depth figures to be important in Week 3. Seattle’s offensive line is the worst pass-blocking unit in the NFL so far, per Pro Football Focus. And its run-blocking abilities haven’t been great either.

So look for most, if not all, of the Niners’ D-line guys to be available Sunday.
