San Francisco 49ers second-round draft pick Jaquiski Tartt has a few people looking out for him as he begins his NFL career.

Safety Jimmie Ward is from the same town in Alabama as Tartt and gave the rookie some valuable advice before OTAs began.

"Really, it was just get in the playbook," said Tartt, via the 49ers official website. "That's the only thing that could keep me behind - that's the playbook."

Tartt is leaning a lot from Ward as well as free safety Antoine Bethea. What is standing out to Tartt is the professionalism both players exude.

"When they walk into the meeting room, you can just tell from their faces that they are serious about the game."

Tartt continues to observe the veterans and is not afraid to ask for advice as he acclimates to the NFL and the 49ers system
