49ers' Bush still mulling lawsuit against city of St. Louis
San Francisco 49ers running back Reggie Bush is still contemplating a lawsuit against the city of St. Louis because of a freak injury that ended his season.
Bush suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee at the end of a punt return in a 27-6 loss to the Rams on Nov. 1. He skidded on a concrete area outside the playing field and crashed feet-first into the wall.
“To get injured when it’s not between the lines is very irritating,” said Bush, who added he is "looking into some things" before making a final decision on whether to sue.
One week before Bush were hurt, Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown also slipped on the concrete at the Edward Jones Dome and hurt his shoulder. McCown was able to return to the game.
The stadium authority has since covered the concrete with blue padding to prevent further mishaps.
