The 2016 Fantasy Football season is already halfway over. What can owners of running back Matt Forte expect from him this week?

The 2016 Fantasy Football season is nearing the playoffs, and owners are scrambling to position themselves for the playoffs. Fantasy football owners of New York Jets running back Matt Forte might be a bit disappointed with his performance so far this season, but he has had some big games.

Despite a few duds, Forte has proven that he can be one of the best fantasy running backs in the league still when he gets touches. In Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills, the Jets made it a priority to get Forte the ball, and things turned out very well. In their first win of the season, Forte totaled 100 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns on 30 carries.

While 30 carries is a lot, Forte has been a workhorse throughout his career and appears to thrive with more touches. Two weeks ago, Forte totaled 30 carries again against the Baltimore Ravens, and he was able to total 100 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.

Even though Forte didn’t hit the 30-carry mark last week against the Browns, he played well yet again. In the win, Forte totaled 82 rushing yards on 25 carries with one rushing touchdown. It is pretty easy to see that when the Jets get Forte the ball, they tend to have success, and so does he.

Coming into Week 9, the Dolphins have a had a real problem stopping the run. They are currently ranked 30th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per at just under 135. While the Dolphins have been giving up a lot of rushing yards, they have been keeping running backs out of the end zone. So far this season, the Dolphins have only allowed two rushing touchdowns to opposing running backs.

Due to the Dolphins struggling to stop the run, Forte should be in position for a nice day for fantasy football owners. He might have a hard time getting in the end zone, but there will be plenty of points from rushing yards.

Projection: 24 carries, 110 rushing yards, two receptions and 20 receiving yards.
