This play perfectly captures the Lakers' woeful effort this season

The Lakers must be glad this dreadful season is almost over. Between its awful 16-59 record and now the D'Angelo Russell video tape debacle, L.A.'s season can't end soon enough.

It's been so bad that even in their wins, the Lakers have moments that will make even their most die-hard fans want to scream.

The Lakers pulled out a hard-fought win Wednesday against the Heat in overtime, but their lack of effort during one play in particular was cringe-worthy.

The Heat forced Russell to turn the ball over in the first quarter, resulting in a 3-0 fastbreak. Easy two points right? Well Dwyane Wade flubbed the layup, but that's OK because there isn't a Laker in sight.

So Wade just grabs the rebound and calmly lays it in right before Russell finally gets back in the play.

Only seven more games, Lakers fans.
