The Denver Nuggets must be cautious in tonight’s game.

The Denver Nuggets will face a divisional rival at the Pepsi Center tonight. They will play the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have been somewhat disappointing, but that doesn’t mean anything.

The Nuggets need to be careful not to overlook this team, especially considering the Nuggets have lost many games to teams they should have defeated (Nets and Mavericks). The last time these 2 teams faced off, the Nuggets squeaked by with a win. However, the Timberwolves will be looking for revenge.

Behind their young core led by Towns, Wiggins, and Lavine, Minnesota will look to take advantage of Denver’s weaknesses on defense. Outside of Gary Harris and Wilson Chandler, the Nuggets do not have a gritty, tough defense to slow down the Timberwolves two stars.

Hopefully, Denver will be able to get another win on their rival considering they are much healthier than last time they met. The Nuggets are coming off a win on the road against the Clippers, but they must make sure they do not overlook this young Timberwolves team.

It is going to be difficult slowing down Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony-Towns, but if the Nuggets can capitalize on their momentum and use the crowd to their advantage, they will be in good shape. Minnesota is beginning to show signs of playing to their potential, so Denver needs to make sure they execute properly and more importantly, take care of the ball!

Seriously, if the Nuggets can win the turnover battle, something that has rarely happened for them this season, they will make this game much easier on themselves. Obviously this is easier said than done going up against guys like Wiggins, Towns, and Lavine, but it is doable.

The Denver Nuggets must not get caught in a trap tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves and continue to progress with their young team.
