Steph Curry misses shootaround, is questionable for Game 2

Published Apr. 18, 2016 4:27 p.m. ET

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry missed Monday's shootaround and is considered questionable for Game 2 of the Western Conference playoffs series against the Houston Rockets.

The reigning MVP opted for treatment instead of participating in the team practice, and his status will be determined prior to game time Monday.

Curry is nursing an ankle injury that he suffered during the first half of Saturday's 104-78 Game 1 victory over the Rockets. While Curry attempted to play in the second half of the game, coach Steve Kerr opted to bench the point guard with the Warriors' lead hovering around 20 points.

If Curry is held out of Game 2, Shaun Livingston will start in his place. Golden State already beat the Rockets once this season without Curry, winning in Houston on Dec. 31.
