Spurs coach Gregg Popovich gets a short in-game interview for Christmas
Think of the favorite gift you received for Christmas this year -- a new gaming system, a new grill, a new car, socks . . . then multiply those glad feelings by 10,000.
That’s surely how happy Gregg Popovich was feeling on Christmas night as ESPN’s Cassidy Hubbarth limited the traditional in-game interview with Pop to just one question. It’s a Christmas miracle!
Pop is actually thrilled about this, he’s just physically unable to express joy.
Pop’s sideline interviews have always been noteworthy. His reunion with Craig Sager earlier this month was one of the best moments in sports media this year. Hubbarth is someone on the rise at ESPN, so good for her to find a humorous way to try to tackle her first interview with the Spurs coach.
