Report: Chris Bosh still at odds with Miami Heat, eying NBA return
Despite not yet playing this season, Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh still wants to return to the NBA sooner rather than later.
The Miami Heat and Chris Bosh are still at odds about the blood clots that have sidelined him for the season, and when he might be able to play again after missing significant time, reports Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.
“League sources said Bosh definitely wants to play again, but it’s likely not to be in Miami. The Heat could waive Bosh, but if he played 25 games this season with another team, they would get no cap relief in doing so. The Heat could trade Bosh to a club that feels he could play immediately and push it to a championship level.”
The Heat had said before the season that Bosh will not play for the team this year. Bosh responded with a series of documentary episodes for Uninterrupted chronicling his medical struggles, rehab and hopeful return.

Bosh missed the second half of each of the last two seasons with the medical condition.
It’s clear that Bosh’s time with the Heat is over, and that the team will apply for a medical exception to clear his cap of the books.
However, Bosh may still want to play and seek to play for another team. It’s doubtful that the Heat will find a team willing to take on Bosh’s contract, which still has three years and $84 million remaining.
It seems the relationship between the Heat and Bosh, and Bosh’s future, is still as murky as ever.
